Keyword Smoothie - Adapted from Joy McCarthy

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 banana
  • 3 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp cacao butter (or coconut butter/manna)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 knob fresh ginger (approx 1 tbsp)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 1/4 cup coconut milk (or to desired consistency)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 medjool date, pitted
  • 1 scoop plant-based protein powder, vanilla
  • 3 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth (approx. 30-40 seconds). Top with cinnamon, shredded coconut, hemp seeds.

    Note: The smoothie is golden in colour if you don't use the spinach, but I like the extra fibre, vitamins and minerals! Therefore, it ends up green. :)
